Stadspark aviary undergoing renovation
The aviary in Stadspark (City Park) will be closed for renovation starting on 12 November. The birds will temporarily be moved to a special aviary at Daalhoeve Farm. The renovation should take around three weeks, after which the birds will return. Renovations will take about 3 weeks.
Planned renovations
Daalhoeve Farm staff, who care for the birds and the aviary, will enhance the interior by adding greenery, new perches and shelters for the birds, as well as fresh ground cover. New information signs will also be installed. While the birds are staying elsewhere, the municipality will remove graffiti from the upper parts of the aviary.
These birds will be back after the renovations:
- Mexican house finch
- Java sparrow
- zebra finch
- diamond dove
- Chinese quail
