Elections 2018

The municipal elections and a referendum are held on Wednesday 21 March 2018. At the latest 7 March 2018 you will receive your voting pass(es) at home.

Who is eligible to vote

You can vote in the municipal election if you are registered in Maastricht as a Dutch citizen, an EU citizen, or a non-EU citizen who has been a legal resident in the Netherlands for at least five years. You can vote for the referendum only if you have the Dutch nationality.

If you want to campaign for the municipal elections must apply for authorization. Some campaign activities are not licensed. But those are only allowed in the designated places. Read more about it on the page 'Campagnevoeren voor verkiezingen' (In Dutch only)
