Park just right from 1 October

From 1 October, bicycles may no longer be parked in the wrong places in the area around the railway station in Wyck. The municipality will remove bicycles that have been parked incorrectly for more than an hour. These bicycles will be taken to the municipal bicycle depot at Gerardusweg 39. You can collect your bicycle there.

Bicycle removed
From 1 October, a label will be attached to bicycles parked in the wrong place. That label states that the bicycle will be removed if it is not moved within an hour. Bicycles that are not moved in time will be taken to the municipal bicycle depot at Gerardusweg 39. The depot is open on Mondays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (until 1 January 2019). Please note that you must be able to proof that the bicycle is yours. So bring along your bicycle key. Also you need a valid passport or identitycard to identify yourself.

Did we take your bicycle? Check it at www.verlorenofgevonden.nl. We register all bicycles on that website.

Scooters parked incorrectly
Scooters parked in the wrong place will not be removed. From 1 October, you will be fined if your scooter is not parked in the right place.

Parked just right?
In July, August, and September, a great deal of attention was devoted to keeping the station area in Wyck accessible with the slogan 'Parked just right?’ Large information boards, flyers on bicycles, and ‘bicycle coaches’ directed cyclists and scooter riders to the right parking areas. The campaign was an initiative of the Municipality of Maastricht and Maastricht Bereikbaar.
