Description

In a large part of Maastricht, paid parking or parking for permit-holders applies. These areas are divided into the Zone A (centre A1 and A2) and the Zone B (outside the canals). If you live in an area where paid parking or parking for permit-holders applies, then you may qualify for a parking permit. Use the overview of parking sectors to see were the A and B zones are.

In the Ceramique district, parking permits do not apply; you cannot get a permit for this district.

Do you want to apply for a parking permit?

Under the ‘Approach’ tab you can find a step-by-step explanation of how to do this. Here, you can also find how to, temporarily or permanently, change your parking permit.

Terms

The conditions for a parking permit for residents are:

  • You are registered in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) of Maastricht.
  • You live in the area the parking permit applies to.
  • The registration number of your vehicle is registered in your name, to a lease company or to the company you work for.

Have you just moved?

And have you cancelled your parking permit in your former district? Then it will take an average five days to process your move in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP). Once this is done, you can apply for a new parking permit for a different district.

Do you live in the Zone A2 or in the Zone B?

You may be eligible for a second parking permit if:

  • Your household consists of 2 adult persons or fewer;
  • You don’t have your own space to park;
  • There is sufficient space in the district. A limit has been set for this in Zone A2. Once this limit is reached a second permit is no longer possible.

Contact

You apply for the parking permit at your council. You can use the online application form. You need DigiD for this.

It is also possible to submit an application without DigiD. In that case you use the paper application form.
