Personal Records Database (BRP) extract

You can request an extract from the Basisregistratie Personen – BRP (Personal Records Database) online with DigiD. The extract will be sent within 2 working days.

Please note that you can request an extract from the Basisregistratie Personen (BRP) only in the municipality in which you live and are registered.

You can request an extract from the Basisregistratie Personen – BRP (Personal Records Database) online with DigiD. You will receive the extract by post. Please note: you will not receive a digital version.  

For yourself or your child under 16

Online, you can request an extract for yourself. And for your child up to the age of 16. Your child must live at the same address as you. 

What is a Personal Records Database extract ?

An extract from the Basisregistratie Personen – BRP (Personal Records Database) contains information such as your name, address, date of birth and/or other information. Depending on the purpose for which you need the extract, it may contain more information. 

Types of extracts

  • Basic extract without citizen service number
    Your Burgerservicenummer – BSN (citizen service number) is not stated in this type of extract. It is used, for example, as proof of registration in Maastricht or the Netherlands. 
  • Basic extract with citizen service number
    Your Burgerservicenummer – BSN (citizen service number) is stated in this type of extract. 
  • Extended extract
    This type of extract contains parental information, nationality, residence information, information about a possible marriage or civil partnership and children.
  • Extract for housing corporation
    This type of extract contains the applicant's marital status and address history. This extract also shows the number of people registered at the address. Who these are is not mentioned. Do you want this? Then request a family extract. This is only possible at the Municipal Service Desk. Make an appointment.
  • Extract for insurance or annuity 
    This type of extract serves as a Certificate of life. 
  • Extract for international use
    This type of extract also states nationality (date of acquisition if applicable), marital status, parents and registration date in the Netherlands. The extract can be provided in different languages: Dutch, French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Turkish. 
  • Extract with address history
    This type of extract lists your old addresses (address history from 01-10-1994). 
  • Extract with location details, nationality and last marriage
    This type of extract contains information about nationality, registration information and information about marital status. 

Extracts you can request at the Municipal Counter by appointment only

 

  • Extract with custody
    This extract concerns the custody of a minor child. Only the holder of parental authority can apply for this extract. It cannot be requested online, but by appointment only at the Municipal Service Desk.
  • Family extract
    The family extract states the details of the family members living at the same address. This extract cannot be requested online; it can only be requested at the Municipal Service Desk by appointment.
  • Do you want to request an extract for someone else or your child aged 16 or over? Then make an appointment.

    Pay in cash or by pin. You will then be given the extract immediately. 

    Bring to the appointment:
    • written permission from the person for whom you are requesting the extract
    • your valid identity document
    • a copy of the identification document of the person for whom you are requesting the extract
  • Are you unable to request a BRP extract online with DigiD? Then make an appointment at the Municipal Office. Pay in cash or by pin. You will then be given the extract immediately. Bring your proof of identity with you to the appointment.

  • The fee for processing an application for an extract from the Personal Records Database is € 16.60 (rate 2024). This rate also applies if we are unable to process your application. There is no right to a refund. 

    We can only issue extracts from the basic registration of persons to persons residing and registered in the municipality of Maastricht.
