Generaalshuis (General's House)
The General 's House, dating from 1804, is located on one of the most famous squares in the Netherlands: Vrijthof. Marriages are celebrated in the Edmond Hustinx room, the former ballroom of the General's House.
The building is a perfect combination of old and new architecture. The General's House is now the front building of the Theater aan het Vrijthof. The ballroom is still in its original state and features beautiful wall paintings.
About the venue
The Edmond Hustinx room has a maximum capacity of 45 seats. If you expect to have more guests there is space to stand for up to a maximum of 70 people. You can have a drink at the venue after the wedding ceremony. Employees of Theater aan het Vrijthof can tell you more about the options. The building has a lift for people with a disability.
Accessibility
Bridal couples receive 1 exemption to park in front of the door at Vrijthof. Guests can park nearby in the parking garage under the Vrijthof.
